Releases Update
Written by J.D.
Saturday, 29 November 2008

First off, my (J.D. Reager) debut album, The Repechage, is now available online via our friends at Goner Records, and locally in-stores in Memphis (Goner, Shangri-La, Spin Street and Davis-Kidd) and Knoxville (Disc Exchange).  It has been getting fairly good press, including this lovely article written by the CA's Bob Mehr.  The national streetdate for the CD is January 27.

Secondly, the Pezz/While I Breathe I Hope split-LP will be available in local stores and online sometime next week, but if you just can't wat until then, you can go to their LP-release show on Friday, Dec. 5 @ the Hi-Tone.  Both bands will be joined by Streetside Symphony and the Antique Curtains.

Thirdly, We've got a lot planned for 2009, including releases from the Original Cyndi, Snowglobe and Two Way Radio, the Rock for Love 1&2 DVD, and lots more.  Stay tuned.

Makeshift Music is proud to announce two big releases coming up at the end of 2008.

The first is the long awaited solo album by J.D. Reager (that's me), titled the Repechage.  The 12-song CD features guest appearances by members of Snowglobe, the Subteens, Lucero and more!  Here's a sneak peak at the cover:

The cd-release extravaganza for J.D.'s album is scheduled for Friday, November 21 @ Nocturnal (formerly known as the Antenna Club).  Two Way Radio and others TBA will be on the bill as well.

The second release is a split vinyl LP by local punk rock mainstays, or dare I even say legends, Pezz, and Smith 7 Records' While I Breathe I Hope.  While, I don't have albums covers to display for this one, it's sure to be damn good-looking as well.  The release show for the split will be Friday, December 5 @ the Hi-Tone, and will feature both bands plus the Subteens!

Stay tunes for purchase info and (for a limited time) free mp3 downloads!
